University of Abuja (now Yakubu Gowon University): Tinubu dissolved the governing council and removed Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi as Vice-Chancellor. Senator Lanre Tejuoso has been appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor.
University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN): Professor Polycarp Emeka Chigbu was removed from his position as Acting Vice-Chancellor before his tenure was due to end on February 14. Professor Oguejiofu T. Ujam was appointed as his successor for a six-month term, ineligible to apply for the permanent position. Gen. Ike Nwachukwu was reassigned from UNN to the University of Uyo as Pro-Chancellor, with Engr Olubunmi Ojo appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor of UNN.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka: Barrister Olugbenga Kukoyi, previously a Council Member at UNN, was appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor.
