The Nigerian Police Force has arrested a 37-year-old man, Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor for
allegedly killing his elder brother, Emmanuel Okafor, 45, over a heated argument about food.
This was stated in a press statement issued by Anambra State Police Command spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga on Saturday.

Emeka Mbadiwe: Nollywood Filmmaker Sentenced to 5 Years for Drug Trafficking A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced 40-year-old Nollywood filmmaker, Emeka Mbadiwe, to five years in prison for drug trafficking. He was convicted for dealing in 17.3kg of Canadian Loud, Cannabis Sativa, LSD (a hallucinogenic drug similar to cocaine), and heroin. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had arrested Mbadiwe on December 24, 2024, before bringing him to trial.
According to reports from various news sources like Sahara Reporters, Nairaland, and Channels Television, Ebe Maduabuchi has indeed been arrested in connection with the attack on the Amegu-Nkalaha community in Ebonyi State. This incident reportedly led to the deaths of at least 16 individuals and the destruction of 25 houses. The arrest was made following an attack by suspected herdsmen or hoodlums, with Maduabuchi allegedly collaborating with the assailants. He was apprehended by local security personnel in the neighboring Eha-Amufu community.

NDLEA saves the life of a 59-year-old Igbo man after emergency surgery to remove 57 cocaine pellets

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully saved the life of a 59-year-old businessman, Chijioke Igbokwe, after he underwent emergency surgery to remove 57 out of 81 pellets of cocaine lodged in his stomach.
According to a statement released by the agency's spokesman, Femi Babafemi, Igbokwe was arrested on January 26, 2025, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, during the inward clearance of passengers on an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
"A body scan conducted by NDLEA officers confirmed he had ingested illicit drugs, after which he was immediately placed under excretion observation at the agency's medical facility," Babafemi said.
He added that "investigations revealed that Igbokwe, who claims to be a clothing trader at Arena, Oshodi, Lagos, departed Lagos on January 22 for Addis Ababa, where he ingested the 81 wraps of cocaine on 23 January before boarding a flight to Beirut, Lebanon, to deliver the illicit consignment for a fee of $3,000."
